Greetings and love to you all! I’m feeling exceptionally well rested and relaxed today, which is unusual considering my recent trip to Japan. I expected to still be jet-lagged.

I was there on a whirlwind week of work because my agent booked me on a speaking tour across Japan’s famed cat islands, so I shared my years of business experience with the local cats there, discussing personal branding, managing Internet fame, and forecasting upcoming fashion trends for summer/fall/winter 2017.
I also worked on a couple of Japanese kitty modeling photo shoots while I was there — one with Shiseido for their new CC cream for striped fur (sorry, domestic tabbies, but this one will be an exclusive for the Japanese feline market), and another with Chikuhodo for my upcoming brush collaboration.
Expect it to sell out quickly when it arrives this fall.

Even though I travel the world extensively, I rarely bring home souvenirs. It’s true. I may have a reputation for excess, but I’m a minimalist at heart. In fact, I was KonMari Method-ing before it was a thing, and I try to avoid bringing tchotchkes into my home, if at all possible.
But I stumbled upon this golden lucky cat on this trip, and it meowed to my soul.
Perhaps it’s his shiny gilded coat, which appeals to my love of bling, or maybe it’s his cheerful raised paw, which always greets me when I arrive home.
Whatever it is, he has that certain je ne sais quoi, and, as I mention in my memoir, Tabs the Cat: Superstar, the harder I work, the luckier I get, so a Maneki-neko lucky cat suits my personal philosophy.
I’m currently looking to name him as well. Do you have any ideas?
